Highlights

Extend Digital Video Displays up to 1200 Feet
Digital Display Extension System
The DVI-Fiberlynx allows a single remote user to be located up to 1200 feet (365.8 m) from the CPU. Digital video, keyboard, mouse, audio, and serial signals are all transparently transmitted between the user and the CPU, allowing for complete interaction from a remote location. Each DVI-Fiberlynx system consists of a pair of electronic units connected by a fiber optic cable. One unit, the transmitter, is located with the CPU, while the other unit, the receiver, is located with the user.
Increased Security And Efficiency
Locating users remotely from CPUs allows more control of the CPU environment. Users are no longer forced to work in noisy, cold machine rooms allowing for more concentration on the job at hand. Also, CPUs may be located in a secure environment, limiting physical access only to authorized personnel, and reducing the possibility of the loss of sensitive data. |
